The method
Seventeen steps, in the order they pay back.
The framework is the sequence used in a real turnaround: stabilize, measure, remove the biggest cost, standardize, then improve. The guide is one chapter per step, and each step names the tool that does the work and the number that says it worked.
The FMEA Risk Scorer does the arithmetic, which was never the hard part. The hard part is agreeing what a 7 means before anyone scores anything. The rating scales are written to be agreed on first, and a detection-gap flag keeps a hidden failure from hiding behind a middling number.
The companion workbook carries the Cost of Poor Quality Calculator, so every step has a dollar figure attached. The framework decides what to fix, the FMEA decides what could fail, and the calculator decides what it is worth.
What it computes for you
The 17-step improvement framework with the FMEA Risk Scorer and the companion workbook.
- RPN with priority bands and a DETECTION GAP flag
- Top 10 failure modes ranked automatically
- Annual cost of doing nothing, payback and three-year benefit
- A verdict cell: fund it, strong case, marginal, does not pay back
- Charts on every results tab

What you download
The files.
Yellow cells are yours; white cells calculate. It arrives filled in with the series’ fictional plant so every flag and chart has something to show; clear the yellow cells and start.
Questions
Before you buy.
Which Excel version do I need?
Excel 2016 or later on Windows or Mac, or Google Sheets. Every formula is standard: no macros, no add-ins, no external links. In Google Sheets use File → Import → Replace spreadsheet.
Why does the workbook arrive filled in?
Every workbook ships pre-filled with the same fictional plant so each dashboard, flag and trend has something to show. Read it that way first, then clear the yellow input cells; the white computed cells empty themselves.
What is the difference between an entry worksheet and a pack?
An entry worksheet is two or three tabs lifted from its pack, and it is $5 or more, your choice. The pack is the full workbook with the register, the dashboard and the field guide PDF that explains the method, for $35. Start with the worksheet; the formulas and the worked example are the same.
What if it does not do what the page says?
