Questions

Who is it for?

The person who runs a process and is about to be interviewed about it: a supervisor, a team lead, a department head. Not the quality manager, who has the companion book. It is short on purpose, about 100 pages at 5 by 8 inches, and can be read in an hour.

Is it the standard?

No. It does not reproduce ISO 9001:2026 and clause numbers are used as pointers only. The requirements are in your organization's licensed copy, and the auditor will expect you to have one.

Which book should a quality manager buy first?

ISO 9001:2026: What Changed, What Your Auditor Will Look For, and How to Close the Gaps is written for the quality manager's side of the audit. Audit Day is the same audit from the process owner's side. Most quality managers read the first and hand out the second.

Can I copy the templates for my team?

Yes. The three templates above are free to download and may be copied by the purchasing organization for its own internal use.
